  • Powerful 4.7-liter V8, all-terrain capability, roomy comfort for four.

  • Great Suv - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I bought the 2002 Grand Cherokee. Love it, great suv. It drives very smoothly, for a suv. I drove in other suv, and this is by far the best. If you are looking for a jeep. This is the way to go.

  • Great SUV - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

I love this vehicle. It is quiet, rides great, comfortable, and has great performance and fuel economy. I am averageing 18.7 MPG. We drove a lot of vehicles before we decided to purchase the jeep. We drove a Trailblazer, Durango, Explorer. For just over $29,000.00 MSRP with Leather, V-8, Dual Power seats, Power windows and lock, AM/FM CD Cassette, and much more. Any thing from GMC, Ford, Chevy with the same option was $4000-$7000 more. The jeep is more responsive and performs better than the other vehicles. It rides better than the Durango or Liberty. The 5 speed auto-transmission and V-8 work great with each other. Before you buy anything else go drive one of these.

  • Second JGC - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

This is my second JGC. My first a 96 limited. I traded it in for a 02 larado sport after 116,000 no problem miles. I got the 4.0 6 to save on gas and found I did not need all the stuff on the limited. So far a good move on my part. My mpg is better and so is the ride. The leather seats are better but do not adj as much. After 1,000 mi break in I toook it off road(dirt road w/washbord) and found the select track more fun than the all the time four wheel dtive I had before.

  • Great on freeway, great off-highway too - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

Purchased my Jeep used with 45,000 Arizona desert-mtn-backroad miles. Have driven it over Calif freeways, AZ hills and Nevada back road exploring. Only had regular maintenance and tune-ups. Replaced windshield with sand-storm damage; added dealer-installed tow system. Only recently replaced shocks and suspension; brake rotors, etc. I have thoroughly enjoyed its reliability and dependability in difficult situations whether highway or sandwashes, creek beds or steep cliff conditions. Recent engine work but have been greatly satified with this Jeep- also my previous 1990 Jeep Cherokee 4WD - in the past fourteen years.

Jeep Cherokees, especially the 4WD Ltd. are great units. Drives great and looks great. The unit exudes power and the looks are high quality. It has the most comfortable seats outside of a SRX or RX330. Fine overall, EXCEPT, the miles per gallon. Chrysler needs to get serious.

  • Only in a jeep - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

Love this vehicle. 140,000 miles and the only fixes I have had to make were the drivers side window motor at 60,000 miles, water pump at around 133,000 miles and the front drive shaft at 137,000 miles. The drivers side seat heater went out, but who cares I dont drive naked and the heater still works, so I stay plenty warm. Bought it used with 32,000 miles on it and have made weekly trips from Ft Bragg, NC to Jacksonville, Florida. Ft. Benning, GA to Jacksonville and then the trip From NC to Ft Bliss, Texas pulling a trailer. In Texas now and make a trip every weekend to Tucson, AZ and still get 20+ MPG on the highway. Would definitely buy another, but not till this one wears out.

  • 2002 Jeep GC Limited best vehicle ever! - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

Love this new Jeep, 8 months and 8000 miles and so far perfect in every way shape and form. Perfect finish and fit, well-thought out interior. Powerful engine. This is a very fun vehicle to drive, high speed or low. Over 100mph smooth as silk, no vibrations or rattles.

  • Great go anywhere SUV - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

This is my third Grand Cherokee and this is the most reliable yet. With 52,000 miles I have had no problems, just getting my original tires and brake pads replaced. I feel safe going anywhere I need to go. At freeway speeds of 70mph or so I am getting 22mpg with this V8, in town it averages around 16mpg.

  • Very good Ride - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Good buy, this midsize SUV is a consumers dream. Great for teenagers. Fuel economic.

  • Update since 03/02/03 on my 02 JGC - 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee
    By -

Ive not had any problems since my last review. I have 39,000 miles on it now and Ive only changed brakes once, at 33,000. Still my only gripe is that the A/C is not cold enough for the Texas heat. I still plan on keeping it past my 7/100,000 warranty.
